OUR AREA
The nearby Cabinet Mountains pictured above have many lakes, streams and hiking trails to enjoy. Lake Koocanusa is 90-miles long and offers fishing and boating opportunities. The Kootenai River, known for its blue ribbon trout fishing, is within walking distance of your room – guides are available by arrangement. We welcome our guests to use our 70-foot bocce court, fire pit and gas grill.
Some of the areas to explore are the Kootenai and Yaak Falls, Ross Creek Cedars, Libby Dam, and walking a nearby trail along the Kootenai River to observe Bighorn sheep and other wildlife. The Cabinet View Golf Course in Libby offers 18 holes of golf overlooking the mountains. The Heritage Museum has displays on early mining, logging and settlement history around Libby. In the winter, you can enjoy the outdoors with cross-country and downhill skiing, snowshoeing, snowmobiling and ice fishing. Turner Mountain Ski Area is approximately 21 miles north of Libby.
